This work explores the quiet truth that we are all made of the same matter — distinct, yet inseparably connected.
Four panels form fragments of a single circle, each facing outward, each complete on its own yet incomplete without the others. Together, they reveal a continuous form that cannot exist in isolation.
The title Interbeing comes from a teaching by Zen master Thích Nhất Hạnh, expressing the idea that nothing exists independently — that every person, object, and moment is woven from everything else.
In this painting, the circle becomes a metaphor for shared origin and mutual existence: the way individuals, communities, and even opposing forces create wholeness when seen together.
It is an image of unity without uniformity — a reminder that separation is often an illusion, and that connection is the natural state of all things.
